We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in securing a grant from Awards for All – Big Lottery Fund for £10 000. We will use this money to run a series of creative workshops aimed at tackling issues around difference and diversity in our community. For our first project we aim to produce a large tapestry celebrating our multi-ethnic and multi-cultural community.
We have invited a Professional Artist in to support us in running this project. The workshops will run on a Tuesday evening (6:00 – 7:30pm in KS2 Hall) and the first session will be on Tuesday 5th November. There will be 6 sessions in total.
We want to work with a range of people from our community from different backgrounds and cultures and from different age groups, so parents, grandparents, great grandparents, parishioners and other community members are most welcome. If you think you would be interested in joining our creative workshop please complete the slip below and return to the school office for the attention of Dee Williams. Please note that no previous art experience is necessary as an artist will be there to guide us, so please come and support our project and let us work together as a community.
